Aypex

The questions people actually ask.

Straight answers on validation, privacy, what you actually do each day, and how Aypex differs from the tools it's most often confused with.

The basics

What is Aypex?

Aypex helps you understand how the different parts of your life work together to shape how you feel, function, and perform. You say how your day is going in your own words, and Aypex shows you how things like sleep, stress, training, work and relationships are actually moving together — read against your own history rather than a population average.

Is this a journaling or mood-tracking app?

No. There's no diary, no mood log, and nothing asking you to rate how you feel. Those tools depend on you sorting your own life into categories first. Aypex works the other way round: you describe your week the way you'd describe it to someone who knows you, and the reading comes back to you.

What do I actually do?

You say how things are going, in your own words — out loud or typed, whichever you prefer. No questionnaires, no scales, nothing to score. What comes back is a read on what's moving together, and whether this is a rough patch or something slower changing underneath.

Do I need a wearable?

No. Aypex works fully without one. A wearable is the best available instrument for your body, and it has no line of sight to the rest of your life — the decision you've been carrying, the argument you keep having, the week that never cleared. If you do wear something, Aypex reads that too.

How is this validated?

Honestly: not yet, and we'd rather say so. The performance health page sets out the evidence in tiers — established literature, instrument validation, and outcomes research — each marked with where it actually stands. Evidence for an approach is not evidence for a product, and we keep the two separate.

Is this a health or medical tool?

No. Aypex sits outside the healthcare category by design. It doesn't diagnose, screen, treat or predict anything. It gives you a clearer picture of what's shaping how you show up, so you can make decisions that fit your life. When something needs a licensed professional, that stays your call.

For coaches

What do coaches actually see?

Context around the outcome, and only what the individual has agreed to share. You already see whether someone trained, competed, finished the work or showed up. What Aypex Hub adds is a sense of what was going on around it. You do not see their raw reflection.

How is this different from an intake questionnaire?

A questionnaire captures one moment, in your categories, and depends on the client rating themselves accurately. Aypex reads what they say in their own words, between sessions, against their own history. You get a sense of direction rather than a snapshot, and nobody fills in a form.

Does this replace the conversation?

No — it's meant to make the first ten minutes of it better. The session starts from where someone actually is, instead of from working out where they are. What you do with that is still coaching.

What does it cost?

Pricing is scoped in the conversation, sized to your practice. Request a demo and we'll walk through what the Hub does and what it would cost for the people you work with.

Getting started

Do I need a coach to use Aypex?

No. Aypex works on its own — you say how things are going, and you see what's connected. If you do work with a coach, you can choose to share context with them. That sharing is yours to grant, and your own reflection stays yours.

What happens after I get in touch?

A person reads what you send. If it's a fit, you'll hear from us with next steps inside a week. If it isn't, we'll tell you that too rather than leaving you waiting.

Who is this for?

Athletes, high performers, coaches, and anyone who wants to show up better in life. Performance isn't only sport — it's work, relationships, decisions and pressure, and the same things shape all of it.

The vocabulary of Performance Health.

Performance health
Performance health is the condition you perform from — the condition of the whole person as they meet, recover from, and adapt to the demands of life. It spans seven systems working together: physiology, cognition, emotion, behavior, purpose, relationships, and environment.
State
State is what's available to you right now. It moves quickly, with sleep, stress, recovery, pain, mood, and whatever the day is demanding of you.
Capacity
Capacity is the broader range you can operate within. It moves slowly, through training, learning, recovery, repeated strain, health and life experience.
Potential
Potential is how your capacity could develop over time. State is today, capacity is the range you have now, and potential is where that range could go.
Baseline
A baseline is what normal looks like for one specific person, built from their own history. Aypex reads every change against your baseline rather than a population average, so what counts as high for you is set by you.
